harmonicaBill Barrett is one of the busiest & most innovative harmonica players on the scene today. Since moving to L.A. in 1984 he has performed with a wide range of excellent musicians from Anthony Wilson & Greg Ginn to the USC Symphony, and has recorded with many ground breaking instrumentalists such as Vinny Golia & Eugene Chadbourne.
Bill has a few genre bending records of his own including three CDs from soul-jazz aberration The BBQ on NineWinds & Woetone, two CDs of eccentric high-octane blues with Brother Weasel on the seminal L.A. punk label SST Records. His latest record is with free-klezmer trio The Circle of Willis. The Trio includes new music heavy weights Scot Ray on Bone & Wayne Peet on Piano. He was a featured performer at the 2002 international harmonica festival "SPAH" in Columbus, Ohio.
In Addition to the BBQ, The Circle Of Willis & Brother Weasel, Bill plays some deeply disturbed harp in Steuart Liebig's avante-blues ensemble The Mentone's, and Frank San Filippo's alt-country combo Ghost Town.
